5. Newsletter (Artstorefronts & Brevo)

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address and any optional information you provide are processed using Artstorefronts & Brevo.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in every newsletter.

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to send personalized emails to prospective customers who have responded to our advertising, and to distribute our newsletter.

5.1 Legal Basis for Processing

Processing is carried out on the following legal bases:

  • Consent – for newsletter distribution following an active subscription (double opt-in procedure). In the context of Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA / Law 25), this constitutes express consent.
  • Legitimate interest – for contacting individuals who have demonstrated a genuine interest in our services through a specific reaction to our advertising, and for maintaining a suppression list (blacklist) following unsubscription.

Note: Where we contact individuals based on their response to our advertising, we rely on our legitimate interest in direct marketing. These individuals have indicated a clear interest by reacting to our ad. You may object to this processing at any time (see section 3.6).

5.2 Analytics Features

Brevo enables us to analyze our email campaigns, including whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. These analytics help us improve our communications.

If you do not want Brevo to analyze your interaction with our emails, you may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. Unsubscribing also constitutes an objection to analysis.

5.3 Right to Withdraw Consent / Unsubscribe

You may withdraw your consent to receive our newsletter at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. To unsubscribe:

  • Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send
  • Send us an informal email request

After unsubscription, your email address will be removed from our mailing list. To prevent inadvertent future communications, your address may be retained on a suppression list. This retention is based solely on our legitimate interest in preventing unwanted contact. You may object to retention on the suppression list if your interests outweigh ours.

5.4 Retention Period

Your personal information will be retained for as long as your newsletter subscription or email correspondence is active. Following unsubscription, your data will be deleted from the mailing list, subject to the suppression list provision described above.

6. Online Shop, Payments, and Shipping

Online purchases are handled via ArtStorefronts.

  • Payment processing: Stripe

  • Order fulfillment & shipping: ArtStorefronts

We do not receive or store full payment card details. These services process personal data according to their own privacy policies.

7. Workshops and Events

When you register for workshops, we collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Payment and registration details

This information is used solely for organizing, communicating about, and delivering the workshop.

8. Social Media Links

This Website contains links or icons to external social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit).
Clicking these links may allow the respective platforms to collect data according to their own privacy policies.
