Nature Photo- & Cinematography
About me
When I was 15 I travelled the world for the first time – I went to the US and took a small, compact analog camera with me. The camera fell and broke just after a few days and I was left unable to take pictures for the rest of my three-months trip.
Deep inside this must have triggered something in me and after coming back home I bought my first DSLR camera – this paved my way to photography and filming.
My passion is to portrait our natural environment from which we seem to disconnect more and more. Living in large cities most people on earth cannot reach “nature” on a daily basis. The loss of contact to wild plants and animals makes us often forget that not only are we not alone on this planet, but that we are absolutely dependent of a well protected and well-functioning environment.
Through my pictures – whether still or in motion – I showcase what fascinates me. It’s the tiniest wonders we oversee and take for granted and the biggest problems that we face as a society – climate change and the extinction crisis. Problems that no other single species on earth has ever created nor been equipped with everything needed to overcome them. Now it’s just about doing.
